Elena joined Patrick Buzarellos Kendrick, Certified Public Accountants, LLP as the Payroll Administrator over a decade ago. She was accredited by the American Payroll Association as the Certified Payroll Professional the very next year.
She has experience in payroll administration including payroll tax compliance, time off accrual, workers’ compensation audits and benefits management. Elena is knowledgeable in payroll programs like the PPP loan, the Employee Retention Credit and other COVID-19 payroll credits.
Elena current the constantly changing payroll tax laws and have spent numerous research and education hours to be able to provide our clients with informed and responsive service and tax savings.
Elena was born and raised in Riga, Latvia and is a world traveler. She moved to Sacramento, California when she was 20 years old with her husband and his family. In Latvia, Elena graduated from the Math and Science academy and after she moved to United States. Her love for numbers transferred into the passion for payroll and accounting. She speaks fluent English and Russian.
